Rather than draw the entire building, I only did the doors.

A freefrom drawing that turned out rather like something that floated in from the sea.

I ended up using a lot of charcoal....I found it to be difficult to keep from smudging all over.

This is 10 x 14 1/4 inches. I did it in Oct.' 06 for a broken out pane in one of the two old window frames that I hinged together to make my table display for the small plaques that I take to Craft Shows. I decided to replace that missing pane with a design instead of just plain glass. I ended up tacking a piece of white paper behind it because I thought the transparent colors of my design made it hard to notice, due to the booth space background at most of the shows we went to.
